Priest faces incitement to hatred probe

Ian Graham:

THE Catholic priest who witnessed the completion of IRA disarmament is being investigated by police for alleged incitement to hatred after comparing Northern Protestants to Nazis.

Father Alec Reid is being investigated after the Police Service of Northern Ireland received a formal complaint about his comments at a public meeting on IRA decommissioning at a Belfast church last week.

The complaint has been made by Willie Frazer of the Families Acting for Innocent Relatives which represents victims of IRA violence.

So much for freedom of speech in the British-ruled Six Counties.

he should after all the deeds he accused us of where adressed. Many protestants lived in povery as well.Is nt it towards the future we should be looking not towards the past as this man has opened wounds that show that there is a lot of resentment. Yet since 72 things have changed and where i grew up with catholics in the same house and having jobs then who had no reason to kill in the 80s so do we keep pointing fingers turn the other cheek and forgive the people who hurt us on both sides.

I don't know what world you are living in but the north of Ireland is still under British colonial rule and for as long as that situation continues, the indigenous Irish will be justified in using physical force against the British colonial population.

Who ever said that I agree with everything that Gerry Adams or any other other member of Sinn Fein says? I form my own opinions.
